1h20min from home to work today. AND I LIVE IN THE SAME CITY!!!! Thaaaaat's quality of life...

Sao Paulo is damn chaotic. Yesterday it was impossible to arrive in the city by car/bus AGAIN because all the rivers flooded. Same thing as about a month ago.

And today... first time in months I had to drive to work (instead of taking the subway), and I get stuck in the damn traffic again. Without traffic, I make from my place in Sao Paulo to my parents's place in Campinas in the same 1h20min.

Sao Paulo IS chaotic.

I feel your pain! Sometimes it takes me an hour and twenty minutes to get from Union Square to the Bronx. "Percentual de Lentidao!" Lol, it's funny they made an index!
E verdade, dirigir em Sao Paulo e uma loucura! Agora entendo porque as pessoas usam helicopteros.

É sério?? Mesmo pegando as linhas "expressas" (as que não param em todas as estações... são expressas?)?
Mas acho que eu estou estressado de ir de carro mesmo. Estou pensando em morar em Campinas de novo, aí são 2h-2h30min de ônibus cada trecho, mas pelo menos sento lá e durmo ou leio ou faço qq outra coisa.

Isso, claro, enquanto eu não junto dinheiro pra comprar meu helicóptero. :P

That... wouldn't be a bad idea. Please try to convince people in there that NY office needs me to stay another 3 months (at least)! ;)))

Eu já não estou tão puto, é uma dádiva morar e trabalhar a uma distância "caminhável" do metrô.

Boston traffic can be awful. There is a building at a particularly bad spot and on it is a perpetual advertisement that says "if you lived here, you'd be home now." I hate that building!

RE: RS, vamos trocar entao! Vem pra ca, o escritorio de NY e eu vou para o escritorio de SP. Vou ter que aguentar as chuvas e trafico, mas nao importa, vou poder comer as minhas frutas preferidas: mamao e abacaxi :D
Ah..e sim, demora uma hora mesmo para mim. Moro no norte do bronx..perto de Mount Vernon. Eu pego a linha expressa, mas para chegar em Union Square demora um tempao!
