Luke, I am your father started in february 2009 as a five-piece hailing from Blumenau - Santa Catarina, Brazil. Spearheaded by the vicious vocals from Lola, and guitarists Swan and Bina, "Liayf" started as soon as they could to do some recording, and released in march 2009 their first single entitled "Jousting Rounds". In april 18th they did their first local gig in Blumenau to a hundred kids in the legendary KGB at Blumenau (now closed) along with Dancing Ghosts and Cassini. Along the year they changed line-up several times due to some personal issues from the staff, but nonetheless they rocked hard doing some mini-tours (it's hard to do long term tours in Brazil) and hitting the road with their brand new 3 guitars line-up. In september 25th they released their first EP "The Chosen Ones", with five songs. The EP boosted a nice period with the crowing of "Best Revelation of 2009" at Barba Ruiva Convida's - Best of the year (a booking agency from Santa Catarina). Now the band is starting to record new material for their next EP due to the second semester of 2010. The first single that will later be included in the EP is entitled "Tight Trips" and has a more metal flavor with lyrics from their experience so far with the band.
