The Big Bopper era o nome artístico de Jiles Perry Richardson (JP Richardson) (Texas, 24 de Outubro de 1930 - 3 de Fevereiro de 1959) foi uns dos pioneiros do rock and roll, sendo conhecido principalmente pela sua canção "Chantilly Lace". Morreu num trágico acidente de avião, que também vitimou Buddy Holly e Ritchie Valens.
