butter rice (rice with butter and soysauce), some pickled vegetables, some vegetables simmered with soup.

If you like rice and butter, try this "Japanese butter rice". It's very good! Making it is so easy though.

1) put hot rice in a deep plate (or a small soup bowl).
2) put some butter on the rice. If you have Katsuo-bushi (dried bonito), add it.
3) pour soy sauce a little on the rice. Mix them well and eat!

the Japanese butter rice sounds delicious!
I'm going to try it (without dried bonito I guess, since I don't have that at home)
yummy!

Sorry, Lily. Most of the time I write comments in english, just for you. There are times when I write in three, four or more languages, when I want the most people to read it, like this one: http://www.fotolog.com.br/surak/77032948

I tried writing in japanese, but I don't know why, I cannot write neither in kanji nor kana. Fotolog just replaces the words with "???". So I write in english instead. (like here: http://www.fotolog.com.br/surak/77126453 )

What's the lens you are using to take these pictures? I see a somewhat shallow deep of field. You could try closing the aperture a little bit (from 2 to 4, for instance), so the whole meal would be in focus, while keeping the background blurred.

It is a beautiful picture anyway.

About Kaki, I don't know. I hardly go to the Boquería (the people's name for the Mercat de Sant Josep, the beautiful place your husband was at), as I live close to the university, and my life mostly gravitates around it.

Well... I lived is the best word, as I'm living in germany now! :-)

Have a nice week my dear friend.

Sounds good this rice to the butter, how much you try it, I tell you that I have found
