So Long, Partner...

[i]I didn't realize how much of an effect this movie would have on me... I think almost everyone in my age group experienced this bittersweet feeling at the end of Toy Story 3... A sad happiness... Because we grew up with Woody and Buzz, and now, like Andy, we are all grown up and have to leave behind childhood.

I think it's the timing of this movie, because everyone who saw the first one as a kid, like me, is high school graduate/college age now, so it almost seems as if this movie is directed at us. Even though people think of this movie as being targetted at kids, I don't think a child could really understand and appreciate the emotion behind it because it hasn't happened to them yet.

This was by far the saddest happy ending I have ever seen before.

É como dizer adeus para a infância e abandona-lá pegando seu carro e dirigindo em direção à faculdade. Abandoná-la. Deixar é tão... sei lá, duro quanto ser ser deixado.
Não perguntam se queremos, não tem volta, não tem espaço pra arrependimentos.
